<p>Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino counties were caught up in a number of fires that killed at least 10 people and ravaged more than 1,500 homes and businesses by late Monday afternoon.</p>
<p>Several areas were evacuated and residents forced to take shelter as the flames moved through both residential areas and the storied vineyards that make up the Northern California Wine Country.</p>
<p><strong>FIRE HELP: How you can help people affected by the North Bay fires (or get help if you are an evacuee)</strong></p>
<p>Firefighting efforts were coordinated between the ground and air, as crews battled the the spread of fire due to early Monday wind gusts that reached up to 70 mph. Aerial photos showed much of that destruction as firefighters tried to fight back the flames that took over a combined 65,000 acres and counting.</p>
