Quick Response Firearms is one of the newest gun shops in Twin Falls. It is locally owned and operated. You have some really amazing things in there. The store is moving, but they won’t move far.

Right now they are behind Albertsons next to the liquor store on Blue Lakes Blvd. The shop is pretty small but full of really great stuff. If you’ve been around this complex recently, you may have noticed a sign with the Quick Response Firearms logo on the front of the complex. You will be moving to the front of the building. In fact, they are in the process of moving some things as we speak.

I’m not sure when the new store front will open for trading. I think their new location, while not far from the previous one, will work wonders for their business. If you didn’t realize Quick Response Firearms was back there, you could easily drive by or never know it existed. Now their new storefront will face Addison Avenue with a large sign that is welcoming and eye-catching.

The business actually only started online and has only grown since then. If you’ve ever walked in there you know that the people there are some of the nicest, knowledgeable, and interesting people on the planet. They’re great salespeople too. Almost every time I walk in there, I go out with a new toy.

The new store front isn’t open yet, so keep walking to its original location.

A fan of the jam band Phish fell to his death, and two other concertgoers were injured in a separate fall at the Chase Center in San Francisco over the weekend.

Ryan Prosser, 47, of Athens, NY, died Sunday after falling from an upper deck and landing on empty seats below, and authorities say evidence suggests he may have jumped.

Concert goers alerted authorities around 8:55 p.m. during the band’s first set that a person needed medical attention after falling, San Francisco police officers said.

“We felt that blow. It was a remarkable blow, “one concert-goer said to KPIX 5.” One of my friends said, ‘Is it an earthquake?’ And the other said, ‘I think someone fell.’ I saw the body of a man who was shirtless draped over a seat. “

Officials who arrived at the scene worked to resuscitate the man, but he was pronounced dead, said Robert Reuca, the San Francisco Police Department’s public intelligence officer.

Police have found no evidence of foul play in Prosser’s death, and the San Francisco Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office is investigating, authorities said.

“The investigation has evidence that the victim jumped from an elevated area of the arena, causing them to fall a considerable distance, causing their injuries,” Reuca said. “Immediately before the victim jumped, it appeared to have no physical contact with a person.”

Kimberly Veale, a Chase Arena spokeswoman, said in a statement that arena officials are working with local authorities to find out what happened.

“We extend our condolences to the relatives of the guest,” she said.

About an hour after the first fall, at 9.45 p.m., officials were alerted of another incident in which a man fell from another area above and landed on a concert-goer below. Both were taken to hospital and treated for their injuries, the authorities said.

Evan Reeves, 44, of Oakland, was hit when an unidentified man fell on him, KPIX reported.

“It was a loud thump, then a sharp pain in my left leg and a guy’s head in my lap,” Reeves told the point of sale. “I immediately dragged myself a few meters away to get some distance so that he could be treated.”

Reeves said the venue allowed him to stay for the rest of the concert before being rushed to the hospital where he was treated for a broken leg.

He told reporters that he was originally seated in the second row of the upper deck but had moved down “because I didn’t feel safe dancing there”. He said he was concerned about the low plastic barriers in the upper sections.

Concert goers who witnessed the falls used social media to describe what they saw. Twitter user Bobby Moen said in a post that he was sitting in one of the top rows behind Possner when he saw him fall. After moving to another section, Moen later saw the second man fall.

“We’re shaken and going home early,” he tweeted.

Rebecca Studer, an occupational therapist from Oakland, was at the concert but didn’t see the falls. However, she posted an offer of 30-minute phone calls or zoom sessions on social media to help anyone who witnessed the events.

Studer said Tuesday she spoke to about a dozen people.

“Most of what people say revolves around the repetitive experiences of the landing noise, the blood scene of the picture of him over the seat he landed on, paramedics taking care of him, and the impulse to help but with no real skills, ”she said.

Studer, who has been an occupational therapist for five years, said that people who experience shock trauma or horror often have intrusive thoughts or repetitions of the event. “In the short term, it’s really important to find resources and social connections,” she said.

Until Wednesday, the band Phish had not officially commented on any of the falls.

A weak cold front moving over Northern California mainly caused drizzle in the drought-stricken region, but significant rainfall occurred in some isolated locations, particularly in the far north.

In the San Francisco Bay Area, one location along the Sonoma Coast measured half an inch at 5 p.m., while other locations in North Bay reported a hundredth to a few tenths of an inch, the National Weather Service reported. The quantities were small, but in the midst of a drought, any rain was welcome.

“It’s raining in #SanFrancisco right now,” wrote a Twitter user. “I’ve never been so happy to run in the #Rain in my life”

Sidewalks and streets in San Francisco were wet during Monday night’s commute.

“Aggressive drizzle in San Francisco,” wrote ABC-7 meteorologist Drew Tuma on Twitter.

The most distant areas of the state on the California-Oregon border saw the heaviest rainfall and Crescent City broke a record 1.65 inches on the same day, said John Garner, a forecaster for the weather service’s Eureka office. The meter at Arcata Airport read 0.34 inches.

A few hundredths of an inch have been recorded near Redding, where the fawn fire destroyed 40 homes, said Katrina Hand, a forecaster for the Sacramento Weather Service.

Even some snow has probably dusted the highest elevations.

“Great sight for September!” NBC Bay Area meteorologist Jeff Ranieri tweeted. “#Snow over the highest peaks of Mt. Shasta and rain for the fire zones.”

Hand noted that temperatures on Mount Shasta indicated that snow was possible.

The wet, drizzly weather could last until Tuesday.

The cold front that fell from the Pacific Northwest carries a mass of cold air with it, and temperatures in the inland valleys could drop to the low 40s from Tuesday night through Wednesday morning, while the coastal areas are likely to remain in the 50s.

CURRENT August 4th, 12:45 p.m. The partner of the woman, who was hit by a marble slab outside a restaurant in San Francisco, speaks out for her.

Gwen Grohs, the victim’s girlfriend, told SFGATE that the fire department’s claims of a “minor” injury were incorrect.

“Despite what the fire department claims, her injury was quite serious; she almost died and she has traumatic brain injury,” Grohs said in an email.

“She had to have an operation to stop the bleeding from her head,” she added, explaining that a drain was installed to allow the blood to drain from the head wound. Astrid, the victim, is currently in intensive care after suffering a concussion from the impact. (Your full name will not be published for privacy reasons.)

Grohs has also set up a GoFundMe for Astrid to “cover costs such as food for yourself and your dog, utilities and rent”. She says she will take legal action against the builder.

August 3, 2:30 p.m. A woman was reportedly knocked unconscious on Tuesday in San Francisco after a piece of marble siding fell from a building and hit her.

Patrick Burns, a San Francisco resident, told SFGATE that he would be “just around the corner from Hyde to Geary at around 7:30 pm Monday night.”

“The marble cladding,” he said, “fell from a floor above the woman and hit her.”

It knocked her unconscious, he said, but wasn’t sure if the siding hit her in the head or shoulder.

Passers-by at the scene, including a bartender from nearby With a Twist, helped the woman, whose identity is unknown, before first responders arrived at the scene and took her to the hospital.

The marble on the floor shortly after the incident.

Patrick Burns

The San Francisco Fire was on site, Burns said, and a spokesman said she had “minor injuries”.

The San Francisco Department of Building Inspection, the spokesman added, was later called in to assess the building.

The building with the overturned marble slab is the Anh Hong – Bo 7 Mon Vietnamese restaurant on Lower Nob Hill, but it is unclear whether the owners of the restaurant own the building.

A call from SFGATE to Anh Hong on Wednesday morning was not answered.

Burns posted about the incident on Reddit, where he provided more information about the woman. She has blonde hair and wore a brown sweater and rainbow hat.

The San Francisco police were unaware of the incident when they were contacted by SFGATE.

INDIAN FALLS (CBS SF) – Propelled by tinder-dry, drought-stricken trees and scrub, a wall of flames from the angry Dixie Fire roared through the town of Indian Falls, Plumas County, on Saturday night, leaving a devastating trail of charred vehicles that burned houses and destroyed homes Dreams.

The devastation occurred on the eastern edge of the 190,625 acre conflagration that devastated Plumas County for a week. Thousands have been evicted from their homes in rural wilderness communities across the county.

CONTINUE READING: Santa Cruz Police are investigating BLM wall vandalism as a hate crime

The Dixie Fire merged with the Fly Fire – reported at 4,300 acres and 5% containment – overnight on the eastern edge of the massive flame.

While the images of Indian Falls were terrifying, there were victories too when the fire department was able to save some buildings from the fire. Buildings also burned in the rural town of Paxton.

The Dixie fire, which began on July 14, burned in a remote area with restricted access and hampered firefighters’ efforts as it moved east, firefighters said.

It has triggered evacuation orders in several small communities and along the west bank of Lake Almanor, a popular retreat. But on Saturday it marched east with such intensity and speed that the firefighters had to retreat to safe havens.

“The threats and risks associated with this fire are very real,” said Mike Minton, Commander of Cal Incident Team 2. “We are observing fire behavior, conditions and fuel conditions that are not common in this area. The rapid increase in fires we are seeing is very real – we saw that today at Greenville ‘Y’. It is very extreme fire behavior, which essentially meant that the fire fighters had to retreat to safe areas and allow this fire front to pass through. “

Other communities, including Taylorsville, Greenville, Twain, Crescent Mills, and Homes in Butterfly Valley, were also threatened by the March of Fire eastward.

CONTINUE READING: Jet fuel shortages affect air traffic in the west

Mandatory evacuation orders were issued for Genesee Valley North, East Indian Valley and Grizzly Mountain on Sunday.

Among those who have been driven from their homes by the fire is Kylie Ojers, hoping the flames will spare their home.

“We were evacuated on Monday,” she said. “It was more than 20 miles away and now it’s only four miles from our house … It’s going straight towards our house.”

William Helt was also evicted from his home.

“It was raining ashes, it was just a dark sky, everyone had this troubled, ominous feeling, you know it was, you could tell there was panic,” he said of his exodus from the fire zone. “I was just hoping there would be a house to go back to.”

During an update of the fire Saturday night, Plumas County Sheriff Todd Johns asked residents to heed the call to evacuate.

“The fire is up on the ridge now (near Taylorsville),” he said, pointing to the rapid eastern growth on the map on Saturday. “You know how steep the mountains are behind you. If you haven’t, I highly recommend evacuating if you live on Arlington Road in Taylorsville. The fire activity at this point was insane. It’s extreme, most of the time it was unpredictable. “

“I ask the people who live and want to stay in Taylorsville to reconsider this and leave the area.”

On Sunday morning the fire was 21% contained, but those numbers seemed to be adjusting hourly as the fire spread aggressively.

5,022 firefighters were involved in the battle and 10,721 buildings were threatened.

The weather forecast for Sunday included the possibility of lightning and heavy brief rains. These gusty conditions will also create extreme wind behavior along the fire front.

“I wish I had better news,” Cal Fire meteorologist Julia Ruthford said Saturday night. “I know this is a pretty bad weather forecast. But that’s what we got. “
