Somebody call Ty Pennington because we have the sudden urge for an Extreme Home Makeover after seeing Zane Phillips in this jaw-dropping new photoshoot.

Perhaps sensing the collective anxiety around this week’s upcoming midterm elections, the hunky Legacies and Fire Island star helped quell the worst of our Sunday scaries when he shared a series of new photos this weekend from photographer Raphaël Chatelain.

Donning paint-covered slacks and surrounded by bags of mortar, the vibe Phillips is giving is very much home renovation, very DIY. But if the star is really “doing it himself,” then we’ll volunteer to swing by a lend a hand!

What can we say, he looks ready to get to work! And, considering Phillips posted the pics just a few days after Disney’s planned live-action Hercules was in the news again, maybe he just wanted to remind us all that he’s more than capable of stepping into the sandals of the chiseled demigod.

Related: ‘Fire Island’ hunk Zane Phillips is down to play Hercules, so what’s the hold-up, Disney?

The internet, for its part, is losing it over the spread. Even the Instagram comments section is a sight to behold, with a veritable who’s who of gay hunks chiming in to make their thirsty puns. “Plaster me,” jokes Phillips’ Fire Island co-star Nick Adams. “Hello sir I have some spackling for you to attend to,” adds New York Times Cooking personality Vaughn Vreeland.

And Broadway star Andrew Keenan-Bolger is all of us with his comment: “Suddenly deeply interested in home renovations.”

Naturally, these photos have made their way to Twitter, where folks are just as rabid. For example:

I think Zane Phillips might be the most beautiful human being to have ever walked the earth.

— Lee Jordan (@Beelenzies) November 7, 2022

Hey @zanityfair if u are reading this im free Saturday night and would like to hang out please respond if u would like to hang out with me on Saturday night when im free https://t.co/q0ITIGk9p5

— Jensen from Dodge City (@petworthot) November 7, 2022

And while we can certainly appreciate the momentary break from *motions wildly* everything, we also love that Phillips knows there are much more important matters at hand. On his Instagram story, the actor shared an Out magazine piece about the photoshoot—one with a headline that says he “wants you to see him get sweaty”— delightfully adding, “ok lol but actually I just want u to vote.”

That’s right Zane! Use that platform—and all this attention—to get the gays to the polls!

Speaking of, while you’re here to gawk at the shirtless photos, can we interest you in this piece on the queer community fighting for their voice in Marjorie Taylor Greene’s home district? Or, how about reading up on all of the LGBTQ folks running for office this year? Or, you know what? Go check out all of the excellent Election 2022 coverage from our colleagues over at LGBTQ Nation.

And most importantly: Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday, November 8 — our futures depend on it!

Warriors headed to Western Conference finals after big win at Chase Center

Fans at the Chase Center were ecstatic Friday night as the Golden State Warriors eliminated the Memphis Grizzlies to advance to the Western Conference finals.

SAN FRANCISCO – On Friday night, fans left Chase Center ecstatic that the Golden State Warriors won Game 6 to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

“The Warriors played with a spirited effort. And we won it for the Bay,” said one fan outside the arena.

“I’m proud of them guys. I want them to bring the championship back home,” said Trell Brooks of Vallejo.

“It was a great game. We’re so excited that they won. I was a little nervous, but they made it and that’s all that matters,” said Jen Packard who’s also from Vallejo.

Dub Nation turned up the volume for the pivotal Game 6, arguably the most important Warriors game so far to be played at Chase Center.

“The Warriors are back. We’re going to be in the finals this year. It’s going to happen,” said Kevin Sawyer from Hayward.

Fans sat glued to their seats, relishing the fact that the team is playing at home.

“There’s so much energy. People are exited. People are such fans of Curry, Dray and Klay. We’ve been watching these guys for years. It never gets old. You can never get tired of watching the Warriors,” said Julie Anderson from San Francisco.

Many came after a day at work, looking for the fever pitch excitement that post season play brings.

“I love everything about being here. It’s exciting. It’s always great to cheer for the warriors. They’re an awesome team,” said Clara Kwong from Los Gatos.

This Friday night game attracted some fans who live outside the Bay Area.

“We came from Clovis. We’re confident because We’re Warriors fans, die hard. Even though we don’t live here anymore, we still support the Warriors,” said Jenea Levy.

“I’ve been supporting them for a long time. They do what they do. They don’t make it, they don’t make it. We’re still standing with them. But for now, my mind set is we got This. That’s what we’re riding with,” said Nadine Jenkins of Oakland.

“No doubts at all they’re going to win the finals right here, the finals,” said John Dykzeul of Millbrae as he gave a thumbs up.

We won’t know who they play next until Sunday’s game between the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns.

Warriors officials announced that pre-sale tickets go on sale Saturday. Tickets for the general public go on sale Sunday at 10 am.

Fans gathered Sunday night, leaving flowers and taking cellphone photos of the home in Lower Pacific Heights that has been a favorite stop for tourists ever since the sitcom aired in the late 80s and early 90s.

Among those who gathered was Scott Lucas.

“It sort of touched everybody in my generation,” he said. “My siblings, my cousins, all of my friends growing up.
By Lindsay Blake | dirt

The theme song of hit ABC sitcom Full House, which aired from 1987 to 1995, tells us, “Everywhere you look, there’s a heart, a hand to hold on to.” Lately, it seems however, there is bad news everywhere you look, such as the sudden and unexpected death on January 9th of Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner on the popular show. As reports of his death circulated on social media, fans, friends and former co-stars all expressed their sadness and shock at the devastating loss.

Saget is famous for a plethora of film roles, big and small (including the voice of adult Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother), as well as a rather racy stand-up routine. Saget will undoubtedly be best remembered as the Tanner family’s good-natured patriarch. Incredibly, although the role was conceived for him, he wasn’t the first actor to be cast as the beloved TV dad. Full House creator and executive producer Jeff Franklin said on Instagram: “I wrote the role of Danny Tanner for my friend Bob Saget. The character was friendly, genuine, neurotic, a little nerdy, a hugger with a heart of gold, and endearingly funny. That was Bob.” But when it came time to film the pilot in early 1987, scheduling conflicts prevented the comedian from being signed. So actor John Posey was hired instead. The pilot (which never aired but parts of it can be viewed on YouTube) was then filmed, bought around and eventually acquired by ABC. As fate would have it, Saget’s schedule had opened up by this point, leading to the network launching Posey, replacing him with Bob, and reshooting the pilot. The rest is TV history!

A “Full House” role secured from the start? The handsome San Francisco Victorian who portrayed the Tanner residence in the series. As The Hollywood Reporter notes, Franklin “handpicked” the three-story Italian-style property in early 1987 “after a site manager visited San Francisco to select options.” He told the outlet: “I wanted the family to live in one of those classic Victorian houses. For some reason I noticed this. There were many candidates but this was the winner.”

Although it’s often erroneously reported that the Tanners reside in one of SF’s famous Painted Ladies, these structures only appear in the show’s opening credits as family picnics in nearby Alamo Square. The actual apartment featured on the show is about a mile away at 1709 Broderick St. in Lower Pacific Heights. (Please remember this is a private home. Do not enter or harass residents or property in any way.)

Over the years, the idyllic abode has blossomed into a virtual icon that’s as synonymous with “Full House” as Saget himself, so it’s not surprising that fans now go there to commemorate the comedian, and flowers, notes and even bread and beer left on the sidewalk in front.

(Warner Bros. TV)

The quaint residence appeared regularly on footage of the Tanners’ home throughout the eight seasons of “Full House.” Interestingly, however, the production team only took pictures of it once, in early 1987 when “Full House” was in pre-production. The Hollywood Reporter notes that the crew “filmed a bunch of shots of the house – everything from lights on, lights off, day and night – so they would have options to move on.” So much footage was shot that Franklin recalled, “We didn’t have to go back there until a few years later, but by that point the owner must have been upset with the fans passing by and they weren’t in a cooperative mood.” The 1987 images were hence used throughout the show’s run and also in the 2016 reboot of Fuller House. As Franklin said, “Our audiences have watched the same cars drive past this house for 29 years.” However, fans never seemed to mind.

The beautiful property, which is pretty much the quintessential San Francisco Victorian style, was originally designed by architect Charles Lewis Hinkel way back in 1883. After recent renovations, the place actually has four bedrooms and four bathrooms on a spacious (San Francisco specific) 3,728 square meters.

(Michael Rankine)

When the residence launched in 2016, in a highly unusual twist, it was acquired by none other than Franklin, who secured it in a $4 million deal. Although the producer originally hoped to remodel the interior to look like the Full House sets (a near-impossible feat, as the team behind A Very Brady Renovation will tell you), the neighbors, Those long tired of the place’s tourist attraction status weren’t too keen on the idea and thwarted his plans. (How rude, right?) So Franklin set about renovating and flipping the property, with architect Richard Landry at the helm. As evidenced by the pre-renovation photos, this was a major job, opening up the floor plan and modernizing the fixtures. The revamped Victorian building was finally dumped in October 2020 for a cool $5.35 million, with the listing calling it “an ethereal residence that offers comfort, class and opulent finishes.”

Though Landry has been dubbed the “king of the tacky mega-villa” (Oh, Mylanta!), the architect managed to retain many of the property’s original features, such as the Corinthian columns, large bay windows, and wide crown moldings. More modern amenities include skylights, marble-fronted fireplaces, and wide hardwood floors.

On “Full House” only the front of the house appeared. The interior of the Tanner residence and the adjacent backyard were designed by Art Director Lynn Griffin, first on Stage 28 at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, where the show’s first six seasons were filmed, and then on Stage 24 at Warner Bros Studio in Burbank, where production has moved for the last two seasons. The last phase was also used for the reboot of “Fuller House” as well as for seasons two to ten of the legendary series “Friends”.

Although the Tanner home set differs markedly in design from the actual residence, the decorative archways framing the bay windows throughout are an obvious carryover.

“Full House” fans hoping to see the pad in person but unwilling to brave the unfriendly neighbors shouldn’t sell their dreams now that a replica of the residence is now at the Warner Bros. studio. Built to promote Fuller House, the facade is a popular stop on two-hour tours of the site, which are offered several times a day. There, fans can snap photos, pose for selfies on the stairs, and even say a private thank you to Saget for the years of laughs while gazing at the familiar red front door.

Although Los Angeles is the largest city in the United States without its own pro football team, that doesn’t mean the season passes quietly here. All but four of the NFL’s 32 teams have some kind of watering hole in the greater L.A.-area. Hurrah! You no longer have to be the only person at your neighborhood bar with your face painted in team colors. Wherever you hail from, here’s where to join your fellow fans.

AFC EAST

New England Patriots: Sonny McLean’s Irish Pub
Boston has one the strongest expat fanbases in the country, and Sonny McLean’s in Santa Monica has been one of their L.A. homebases for 16 years. The owners fly in Ipswich full-belly clams from Massachusetts. Former Red Sox outfielder and 2004 World Series hero Dave Roberts once stopped by with the World Series trophy. And regulars claim they used to see notorious Irish gangster Whitey Bulger, who was living incognito in Santa Monica when he was arrested, watching games at the bar. This is a transplant bar that transcends sports: After the Boston Marathon bombing Sonny’s held a fundraiser that netted $15,000 in three hours. 2615 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, 310- 449-1811.

New York Jets: On The Thirty
At On The Thirty, a gastropub in Sherman Oaks, a flamenco guitarist plucks staccato notes while a television plays black and white movies. There’s artisan pizza, wine, and a charcuterie station for meats and wines. Except on Sunday mornings. Starting this season, all nine televisions will be showing the Jets while the Gang Green utilizes the 38-foot-long bar. After bouncing around for the past couple years, L.A.-based Jets fans have finally found a home. 14622 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks, 818-788-0330.

Buffalo Bills: Busby’s West
Busby’s West in Santa Monica has been a Bills outpost for more than 5 years; the general manager grew up in the Buffalo area and brought his fandom west. Buffalo chicken wings and Labatt, a Canadian beer, are served on game days. 3110 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica, 310-828-4567.

Miami Dolphins: Leo’s All Star Bar and Grill
The first game of the Dolphins’ season is probably the best one to watch at Leo’s All Star Bar & Grill. Leo, who grew up a contrarian Dolphin supporter in Buffalo, gets about 30 Phins fans in the bar for the first game. “But, after they’ve dropped a few, they slowly weed out,” he says. “I have probably 10 to 12 that show up even when they stink.” 2941 Honolulu Ave., La Crescenta-Montrose, 818-249-5858.

AFC NORTH

Cincinnati Bengals: 72 North
For four years 72 North in Pasadena has hosted 50 to 75 loyal Bengals fans for weekly games during the football season. The owner (a Dolphins fan) welcomes their annual Cincinnati chili cook-off and tolerates their rituals. He once walked out onto the patio to find a group surreptitiously burning an opposing team’s stuffed mascot. 72 N. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, 626-578-9990.

Cleveland Browns: Chimneysweep Lounge
A group of Browns fans have been gathering at the humble Chimneysweep Lounge in Sherman Oaks for many years. The regulars, who have assigned seats, bring in stuffed dogs to create their own Dawg Pound. They eat orange and brown striped cookies and pack their own Stadium Mustard. Milly, the bartender, compares it to a high school reunion. “Browns fans are very sweet,” she said. 4354 Woodman Ave., Sherman Oaks, 818-783-3348.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Steel Pit Sports Grill
There are several booming Steelers bars in the L.A.-area, but the Steel Pit in Tujunga boasts the highest “Steelers” mention to review ratio (11 to 34) on Yelp. Eric, the owner, was a Rams fan until they left town, but as a graffiti artist he had worn Steelers gear. He switched allegiances and did the natural thing: He opened a Steelers Bar. Now, more than 150 fans dance to “Black and Yellow,” following big Pittsburgh wins. 7279 Foothill Blvd., Tujunga, 818-352-6020.

Baltimore Ravens: The Parlor
Four years ago, the West Wing, the Raven’s L.A. fanbase, began uniting former Baltimore denizens at the Parlor in the Fairfax district. During the last postseason, the bar hit capacity (345) and was the site of Los Angeles’ happiest Super Bowl party. Fans can be heard mocking Bawlmerese accents or debating the best crab cake houses. They have a podcast, their own chants, and are known to bring Berger Cookies and UTZ Crab Chips to games. 7250 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, 323-930-2100.

AFC WEST

Denver Broncos: Brennan’s Pub
Cynthia, a bartender at Brennan’s Pub in Marina Del Rey, was looking for a fanbase. Jason, a diehard fan, was looking for a Broncos bar. The stars (which briefly included Tim Tebow) aligned and easy Sunday mornings at Brennan’s suddenly required two waitresses and four bartenders to serve the maximum capacity crowd of blue and orange-clad revelers known as Broncos Country. During the 2012 playoffs when Tebow led the Broncs to an upset over the Steelers in overtime, Cynthia swears she felt the bar move. 4089 Lincoln Blvd., Marina del Rey, 310-821-6622.

San Diego Chargers: Slater’s 50/50
The signature “50/50” burger (half ground beef, half ground bacon) at Slater’s 50/50 was actually born out of a dare at a Chargers tailgate. Scott Slater, who owns the Southern California restaurant chain, is a diehard Bolts fan. The restaurant has a Football Breakfast Menu featuring the Donut Burger and fried chicken and pancakes, and fans will reserve seats for games or order Slater’s tailgate packages for home games. 61 N. Raymond Ave., Pasadena. 626-765-9700; 8082 Adams Ave., Huntington Beach, 714-594-5730; 8009 Day Creek Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga, 909-803-1991; other locations throughout Southern California.

Oakland Raiders: The Bucket
The Raiders have numerous booster clubs but unlike the Rams they lack a unifying entity. Several dozens bars throughout the L.A.-area are considered Raiders bars. We like the Bucket, an Eagle Rock joint that makes a pub-quality burger without any of the gastropub pretension. And the beer taps flow with good suds. 4541 Eagle Rock Blvd., Eagle Rock, 323-257-5654.

Kansas City Chiefs: Kansas City BBQ Company
The Draft, a generalist sports bar in Valley Village, is the site of the largest Chiefs gathering, but who wants to share a bar with fans of other teams? The most Kansas City place to watch a game is in North Hollywood at the Kansas City BBQ Company. A group of Chiefs regulars eat brisket for breakfast while they watch the game and pretend they’re at Arrowhead. 10863 Magnolia Blvd, North Hollywood, 818-754-0030.

AFC SOUTH

Houston Texans: Barney’s Beanery
As of last season a small group of Texan fans were meeting at Barney’s Beanery in Santa Monica, a generalist sports bar. There’s nothing particularly Texas about the place, but the community is growing. 1351 3rd Street Promenade, Santa Monica, 310-656-5777.

Indianapolis Colts: Draft Bar and Grill
Just like Syria’s anti-Assad rebels, Los Angeles Colts fans desperately need a leader. They have a sporadically updated Facebook page with lots of interested subscribers and even bars offering them a home, but no one spot has emerged as the winner. Some displaced Indy fans are meeting in Studio City at all-purpose sports bar The Draft. 12430 Riverside Dr., Studio City, 818-508-8652.

NFC EAST

New York Giants: O’Brien’s Irish Pub & Restaurant
There’s more than one Irish pub in Santa Monica catering to East Coast fans. O’Brien’s became a fulltime Giants bar in 2009 when Willy, the owner, and Steve, the head of the G-Men fan group, joined forces. Now, they draw 125 fans a game and often have to turn latecomers away. After wins, they’ll blast “Empire State of Mind” and “New York, New York” on the stereo. If they make the Super Bowl, maybe Willy will ship in Sabrett hot dogs like he did for the 2011 game. This season, O’Brien’s will be quiet for only one game: On Dec. 8 when fans headed down to San Diego to watch the Giants play the Chargers. Don’t worry, Willy is serving them breakfast before they leave. 2226 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, 310-396-4725

Washington Redskins: Joxer Daly’s
Mehaul O’Leary, owner of Joxer Daly’s in Culver City, can remember standing on the roof on Sunday morning, turning the satellite dish until dozens of Redskins fans yelled, “Stop! Stop!” Although O’Leary has owned the bar since 1999, it’s been a Skins bar for more than 30 years. His guess is that Washington fans chose Joxer because it’s located on Washington Boulevard—and because there are two massive satellite dishes on the roof. O’Leary is a Giants fan, so he watches his own game in the corner. When the Giants play the Skins, O’Leary leaves his own bar and heads to O’Brien’s. 11168 W. Washington Blvd., Culver City, 310-838-3745.

Philadelphia Eagles: The Sports Harbour
Long live The Shack! For years, Santa Monica was home to one of the best transplant bars in the country. Philadelphia fans, including some of the It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia actors, would fill the place for any big Philly game. This winter, Janet and Pat, the owners, retired and moved back to Philadelphia. Spoiled by such excellent leadership for so many years, Eagles fans are now scattered. Do they head to the Sports Harbour, a Marina Del Rey bar with a solid Philly fanbase? Or Philly West in Westwood, which boasts Philly loyalty but shows all the teams? Or one of the dozens of cheesesteak shops in the San Fernando Valley that show games for handfuls of Birds fans? It’s going to take time for the dust to settle. 13484 W. Washington Blvd., Marina del Rey, 310-823-0933.

Dallas Cowboys: Keep It Like A Secret
Much like the professional team they root for, Southern California Cowboys fans assemble with grandiose yet robotic efficiency. They have a 1,000-member Meetup.com group that requires all members be approved by the organizer before learning the location of the meeting place. (You’ll have to swear your allegiance to the team to gain approval.) We like to imagine they meet in a giant underground bunker adorned with Yankees-Bulls-Cowboys posters.

NFC NORTH

Chicago Bears: Tin Horn Flats Saloon & Grill
Tin Horn Flats in Burbank is such a popular place to watch a Bears game that their reservation system is not unlike Soldier Field. The bar is filled to capacity (165) for every game so fans reserve their seats and games before the start of each season. Mike Ditka pictures and Illinois license plates cover the walls. On Sundays they serve a Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich with slaw. A few years ago, when the Bears lost to Green Bay in the playoffs, a couple Packers fans showed up talking trash. A pitcher of beer was thrown; the manager who separated the groups said it was like getting between the Sharks and the Jets. 2623 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank, 818-567-2470.

Green Bay Packers: Pickwick’s Pub
Pickwick’s Pub is just a family friendly, soccer-loving British pub in Woodland Hills that has supported the Packers for the past 25 years. Never mind that former Packers wide receiver Antonio Freeman stopped by or that the owner, who was born in England, has taken his children to Green Bay on several occasions or that their website is thepackerpub.com or that they serve brats. Never mind that they get 70 to 80 Packer fans in on Sundays. For a little British pub in The Valley, Pickwick’s feels a lot like Wisconsin. 21010 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills, 818-340-9673.

Detroit Lions
Coney Dog, a West Hollywood restaurant serving Detroit-style hot dogs and Faygo, the favorite soda pop of Insane Clown Posse fans, was once the place where Lions fans gathered. They eatery recently came under new ownership and will no longer open early enough to show games. The decision has left a void among L.A. Detroiters with disenfranchised fans taking to Facebook to inquire about other Lions bars. No responses yet.

Minnesota Vikings: T2 Bar & Grill
Over the past five years, a group of 50 or so Viking fans moved from McCabe’s in Santa Monica to the Varsity in Beverly Grove to Carson House in Beverly Hills before settling, this year, on T2 Bar & Grill (also known as Tompkins Square Bar & Grill) just north of LAX. The group of Minnesota transplants (and, occasionally, vacationers from the land of ten thousand lakes) is hoping a Super Bowl run will set gatherings on fire. 8522 Lincoln Blvd., Westchester, 310-670-1212.

NFC WEST

St. Louis Rams: Malecon A La Playa
After the 1995 Los Angeles football exodus, broken-hearted Rams fans gathered in scattered groups like outlawed freedom fighters to watch televised St. Louis Rams games. In 2004, Ralph Valdez united those groups into one rebel alliance. The So. Cal Rams Booster Club draws between 250 and 1,000 fans for games and events at privately rented spaces. This year’s meeting place is the seafood-centric Mexican restaurant Malecon A La Playa, which draws its inspiration from the cuisine of Mazatlan. 5201 Clark Ave., Lakewood, 562-666-6738.

San Francisco 49ers: San Francisco Saloon
If you want to get into the San Francisco Saloon in West L.A. for a 49ers playoff game it’s best to arrive by 8 o’clock—that’s 8 p.m. the night before. Fans show up to mark their place until the bar closes, then they tailgate or sleep in their cars until the bar reopens up the next morning. To pass the night, they set up a generator and T.V. out in front and the line has been known to stretch for blocks. When the Giants won the World Series, one bartender said he thought the place was going to come down. 11501 W. Pico Blvd., West L.A., 310-478-0152.

Seattle Seahawks: The Backstage
Eight years ago, Cedric walked into The Backstage in Culver City and decided he was going to turn it into a Seahawks bar. After speaking with the owner, he created a Seahawks MeetUp.com page and 50 people showed up for the first game. Now, a line forms outside the bar hours before kickoff. At halftime, complimentary blue and green shots are doled out to jersey-wearers. They serve Seattle beers like Rainier Beer. A Seattle DJ plays Seattle-themed music. Former Seahawk quarterback Dave Krieg stopped in for a visit and the Seahawks current head coach Pete Carroll (who USC fans still pine for) acknowledged the bar on Twitter. 10400 Culver Blvd., Culver City, 310-839-3892.

Arizona Cardinals
Throughout 2009 and 2010, a group of fans tried valiantly to establish a Cardinals viewing post in Southern California. Nothing surfaced then or since.

NFC SOUTH

New Orleans Saints: Five0Four
Named for the New Orleans area code, Five0Four in Hollywood has quickly become the West Coast hangout for Saints fans. Entering its third season, the bar’s patrons spill out into the courtyard and surrounding restaurants on Sundays. The owner, a New Orleans-native, says that they’ve successfully alienated all other fans. In one instance, a band hired by an adjacent establishment was booed off stage for trying to play during a tight game. 6541 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, 323-960-0224.

Atlanta Falcons: The Hollywood Way
Atlanta transplants have a Meetup.com page with about 50 members, and for part of last season they met at the Hollywood Way, a generalist sports bar in Burbank. Despite the team’s exceptional record, the Meetup page updates ceased abruptly after game five. Maybe some more Julio Jones and Roddy White receptions will light a fire under the Falcons’ fanbase. 1333 N. Hollywood Way, Burbank, 818-845-4400.

Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Carolina Panthers
Sorry, you’re out of luck. These teams seem to have no organized Los Angeles fanbase.

NEW YORK – The Big Apple is about to be turned upside down.

Stranger Things: The Experience, an immersive adventure for fans based on the hit Netflix science fiction show, is coming to New York and San Francisco in spring 2022.

“This groundbreaking experience takes fans of the global hit series into some of its most iconic locations on an intimate, guided new adventure with their favorite characters before they have the opportunity to explore and explore all of the show’s key locations,” Netflix announced on Tuesday in a . known joint release with event company Fever, which has teamed up to co-produce the experience.

The 1980s series follows Eleven, who has psychokinetic powers, and her friends in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana as they battle evil creatures from the Upside Down, an alternate dimension.

This includes demogorgons. But the kids – including Will, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas – also struggle with corrupt people from the Hawkins Laboratory, which experimented on Eleven and where secret paranormal work created the portal to the upside down.

Those who have tickets for the upcoming experience “will first embark on a dangerous adventure through the darker side of Hawkins, including the adventure into the infamous Hawkins Lab and Upside Down,” the press release said. “This brand new storyline, which was developed exclusively with the creators of the show, will catapult the guests into a parallel universe in which they must run the gauntlet of horrors lurking in the dark and unleash their secret powers in order to save the city.”

Tickets start at $ 54 and will be available on July 8th on strangerthings-experience.com. Further cities are to be announced in the future.

Next year’s event follows on from “Stranger Things: The Drive-Into Experience” in Los Angeles, which began last October and ran through June, sold out every day of its multi-month run, and entertained more than 300,000 guests during that time.

For the upcoming events in New York and San Fran, the streaming service promises “stunning audiovisual effects”, themed locations, Demogorgon encounters in the upside down as well as themed food and drinks.

“We know our Stranger Things fans will seize the chance to be the heroes of the story and work with Eleven, Mike and the rest of the gang to escape the evil that is threatening to devour Hawkins,” said Greg Lombardo, Head of Experiences at Netflix, said in a statement.

Season 4 of “Stranger Things” is currently being filmed after being postponed due to COVID-19.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Stephen Curry’s pre-game warm-up had a little extra flair with so many people watching again. He loved seeing all the familiar ushers as he drove to the arena three hours early. He thanked fans for their patience and perseverance during a pandemic before pointing out.

Curry scored 32 points, Draymond Green added 19 assists and 12 rebounds, and the Golden State Warriors greeted fans for the first time since the pandemic began by beating the Denver Nuggets 118-97 on Friday night.

“Just a little different from inside and outside the arena,” said Curry. “I know you have to take it slow and obviously protect everyone, but increase the number of people who can get into the building and slowly but surely return to a full, overcrowded home where this energy is unmatched. We on the ground, we live on it. You try to make it when it’s an empty arena, you do your best, but it makes a big difference with the fans. “

Nikola Jokic scored 19 points for Denver in a matchup of MVP candidates with Curry, who, 33.7 seconds back in the third game, received a rare technique when attempting a foul call. Michael Porter Jr. led the nuggets with 26 points, hitting seven 3-pointers.

Denver striker Will Barton dropped into the game 59 seconds with a strained right Achilles tendon and never returned. It hit the baseline awkwardly under the basket of nuggets.

“Our boys have regrouped,” said Nuggets coach Michael Malone. “Will has perished. He went down early and then we had to find other guys to jump in and play. But I think you all are fishing for the fact that we lost this game to Will’s injury. Don’t excuse us. Will Barton went down, he’s hurt, and we sympathize with him. But we all get paid on the first and the 15th, do your job. We didn’t do our job tonight – not me, the players didn’t do it and that’s unacceptable. “

Fans shouted “MVP! MVP! “For Curry, who scored 11 for 18 with four 3s and also got eight rebounds in his 12th 30-point performance in the last 13 games and the 29th of the season.

“I’m not surprised. I think it’s a no-brainer,” Mychal Mulder said.

Jordan Poole knocked down a corner 3-pointer to hit the buzzer that ended the third when Golden State received another big boost from its bench to win a third straight home game. Poole finished with 15 points and Kelly Oubre Jr. 23 in his new reserve role.

“It’s a new role for Kelly, but you can see how he accepted it, how he handled it,” said coach Steve Kerr.

The Warriors started with nine of their last 13 games at home – where they had not played with fans in the building for 409 days. The number of participants was 1,935, with the team hoping for around 2,000 people.

Fans were greeted with a special video board message – Welcome Home – a limited number of player family members and guests were the only ones in attendance.

The exhausted Warriors greeted Juan Toscano-Anderson from the concussion log after suffering a dangerous fall and cutting his head in Boston last week. He started at 6:08 a.m. in the first quarter to great cheers and contributed nine points and eight rebounds.

“Having fans is always fun, especially after playing in empty gyms,” said Toscano-Anderson. “I appreciate all the fans. Greetings to all important employees who made this possible. “

Golden State shot 53.6% and had 39 assists.

“You have to find a way to get stops and we just didn’t want that tonight,” said Malone, disgusted, whose Denver team shot 38.6%.

CURRY THE ENTERTAINER

Curry clearly loved getting fans back for entertainment by going through a dazzling warmup in which he kicked basketballs up towards the huge video scoreboard and had fun – waving to a cheering group above the tunnel after he finished his pre-game job would have.

The two-time MVP took a moment before the hint to thank the fans for their patience in this “unprecedented situation”.

“There was so much energy in the building tonight and a reminder of what we missed,” said Kerr. “Just I guess a few thousand, but it felt like a lot more. Just such a welcome sight. “

FIRST FAN

Anthony Calvo, 27, from San Ramon, was honored as the first fan to be honored at the Chase Center. Brandon Schneider, COO of New Warriors, greeted him at the door around 4:50 pm after Calvo arrived at 10:30 am to take his COVID test

A Redwood City employee who is helping procure school supplies for youth in need planned to connect with Ms. Kerissa after the game for her planned weekend getaway in Big Sur.

He received a # 1 First Fan Back Uniform and signed equipment from the team.

TIP-INS

Nuggets: Barton was injured on the Golden State home floor after Jamal Murray tore his cruciate ligament in his left knee and had to undergo surgery on April 12 against the Warriors here late on game day. … Denver had won its two previous ones on the road.

Warriors: F Damion Lee and G Kent Bazemore are both on the league’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols. … The Warriors didn’t train on Thursday or hold a shootaround on Friday and Kerr expects limited practice on the track to keep his team fresh. “The players need more rest than work at this point,” he said.

NEXT

Nuggets: Host Houston in a road-home back-to-back on Saturday to beat this season’s three matchups with the Rockets.

Warriors: Host Sacramento on Sunday after losing four out of five to the Kings.
