“He’s an animal” is how new San Francisco Giants pitcher Alex Cobb described playing against Los Angeles Angels generational talent Shohei Ohtani.

“Watching him hit a first-pitch curveball out the other day in a Spring Training game gets you a little rattled. He’s an animal. Another reason I went to the NL. Of course, I pulled him up first,” said Cobb when referring to his decision to sign with the Giants. The Giants and Angels will not play each other this year as the former plays in the National League, while the latter plays in the American League.

Shohei Ohtani really is an animal

Alex Cobb had an impressive season in his own right in 2021. The right-handed pitcher had an ERA of 3.76, a WHIP of just above 1.2 and went with eight wins and three losses on the season.

Ohtani, who is a decade Cobb’s junior, outdid his departing teammate. The Japanese whiz finished the season with a record of 9-2. He also bested Alex Cobb’s ERA and WHIP for a team-best 3.18 and 1.0 respectively.

What makes Ohtani so notable is that he is just as much a menace to opposing pitchers as he is to opposing batters. While simultaneously logging the aforemnioned pitching stats, Shohei Ohtani hit 46 home runs and 100 RBIs. He also had an OPS of .965, making him the stuff of pitcher nightmares.

Cobb faced the Angels in Spring Training on Sunday. He pitched 3.1 innings and didn’t allow a run. He faced Ohtani twice, walking him intentionally in both instances. It may be a while before the two players see each other again. Like many of us, Alex Cobb will only watch and see if Shohei Ohtani reaches the potential we all know he has to become one of the best players in baseball today.

There were many other theaters. There were some that I call one-offs that I only built once for. I stayed with some of them for 10 or 20 years. There were several companies that I stayed with. When their productions showed up, I went ahead and made them. Sometimes I was technical director, sometimes I designed. Of course, at that age, I had a lot more energy.

Usually the technical director oversees all technical elements – that doesn’t mean he or she does them all. I would make sure we have the people on the ground and the equipment. My focus was on construction and painting. That was my strong point, but we usually hired people for sound, light, video and so on. It’s similar here, my strengths are building, painting. I do a lot with software, down to background scenes when we need them. Eric Seale will take care of much of the video. I don’t do a lot with video. I have the software, I just don’t know how to use it.

Process for set ideas

Usually we have an initial production meeting where we come up with the idea. There is a lot of give and take for what we want. I read the script. Maybe I’ll go to other shows and then finally formulate what I think, and at the first production meeting I present my designs and thoughts through photos or quick little drawings, then it goes on.

Once we have decided where to go, I’ll start rendering and drawing. Once that’s done, I started a big call for volunteers and that’s it. The volunteers come in and we have it built and painted. It pretty much follows the designs. Every now and then there will be a little change, but not often. We do 10 shows a year and there is no time for changes.

The former security for the New York Jets and Oakland Raiders emphasized that America “must now go in the right direction”.

Owens expressed support for President Trump during the Republican National Convention last month.

In his RNC speech, Owens shared that he lost everything after his Super Bowl championship with the Oakland Raiders and moved his family of six to a one-room apartment in Brooklyn, where he took a daytime job as a chimney sweep and a security guard at night.

SANTA CLARA, Calif .– If everything goes according to plan by Sept. 12, defensive Nick Bosa will be on the field ready to play the Detroit Lions in the San Francisco 49ers’ season opener.

Bosa, who spoke to the Bay Area media for the first time since tearing an anterior cruciate ligament tear in his left knee last September, left little doubt on Thursday that, barring any unforeseen setbacks, he will be ready for the 2021 season to start.

“I looked at the schedule but I knew when it was an early injury [last year], for the most part, I’d probably be ready to go for week 1, “Bosa said.” And everything is tending to be right now. So I hope to step it up over time and be ready to give all I have in Week 1. “

In the first days of the Niners training camp, Bosa worked in individual exercises, but kept out of one-on-one rush and team exercises. He arrived at camp and weighed around 260 pounds compared to the 263-265 he’d played in in 2019 in hopes that he could add a bit more speed on his return. He said he was moving “better than I’ve ever done”.

Bosa won the 2019 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award after posting 47 tackles, nine sacks, 16 tackles for loss, and 60 quarterback pressures. After knee surgery, Bosa spent much of his time with brother Joey, family, and girlfriend in Southern California and at home in Florida. The arduous rehabilitation and the lack of football made Bosa’s mind wander at times.

“My thoughts went to some dark places, especially when football is a really big part of your life,” said Bosa. “And now you just value your family more.”

Bosa also said he was grappling with the decision on whether to have the COVID-19 vaccination. He came to his media meeting on Thursday wearing a mask and is attending the NFL’s required protocols for unvaccinated players.

“I’m evaluating everything right now,” said Bosa. “I haven’t made a decision yet. But follow the logs and see where it goes.”

When Bosa will take part in the full training sessions, there is still no fixed schedule. But he’s impressed teammates and coaches with where he’s at in the process.

“Nick takes care of himself and is better than anyone I have ever met,” said coach Kyle Shanahan. “The guy has a one-pronged mind and it’s great. So you knew he’d come in great. And now the time has come, you need to know how much time has passed since the injury. He moves and looks like that Being a player is not a problem. It’s all about building him up properly. … We take our time for him and we’re smart. “
