The Seven Seas Mariner cruise ship has arrived in Eureka this morning, slightly behind schedule. Redheaded Blackbelt photographer, Mark McKenna, was on scene this morning to photograph this momentous occasion.

The cruise ship, headed for San Francisco, is depositing its 230 tourists onto Humboldt County soil for a day-long excursion on the North Coast. Onward, a travel logistics company, has arranged for local tours for about two-thirds of those travelers.

The Seven Seas Mariner is the first cruise ship to enter Humboldt Bay since 2018, however, the Regent Seven Seas Cruises is scheduled to visit Humboldt Bay two times in September.
