Anaheim (AP) – Frankie Montas reached 10 in 7 innings and Oakland took advantage of an early mistake in Los Angeles in Starling Martes’ athletics debut and defeated the Angels 4-0 on Thursday evening.

ANAHEIM (AP) – Frankie Montas scored 10 in seven goalless innings and Oakland took advantage of some early bad decisions in Los Angeles in Starling Martes’ debut at the Athletics and defeated the Angels 4-0 on Thursday evening.

Marte, acquired in a trade this week by the Miami Marlins in exchange for left-handed Jesus Luzardo, walked 1 for 4 and scored in the first inning. The A’s scored three times with just one hit in the opening session.
