Is Lance already ready to lead a playoff-contending team? That is the question.

The 49ers are firmly considered a contender for the Super Bowl following their run to the conference championship. Only 5 teams have shorter odds. The favorites to win the Super Bowl this next season are the Buffalo Bills (+600) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700).

The Houston Texans have the longest odds at +20000.

At +1500, San Francisco has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 6.25% or 15/1 fractional odds.

Conventional wisdom says that makes them worth at least a small wager to win it all. However, citing the 8-28 record the 49ers have since Shanahan became head coach when anyone other than Garoppolo starts, that isn’t a wager you can confidently make with Lance as the starter. This is not like Patrick Mahomes coming in as the starter for the Chiefs in his second season. He was a much more accomplished player than Lance was coming out of college.

The odds suggest overwhelming optimism they will return to the postseason. The price makes it such that it isn’t worth it to bet on them making it.

However, the price for the 49ers not making the playoffs is tempting.

You look at the losses they had in free agency and their history without Garoppolo as their start and you wonder why the odds are what they are. The teams expected to win their respective divisions are the Rams, Bucs, Packers and Cowboys. After them, the wild-card race really is wide open.

Unless Lance is much better than he was a season ago, you have to really look hard at them missing the playoffs. I LEAN 49ERS DO NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS (+175).

Kickoff to the final game of the NFL season is only hours away. Super Bowl 56 will pit the Los Angeles Rams against the Cincinnati Bengals. at 6:30pm ET tonight at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA.

This matchup was cemented on January 30 when Cincinnati upset Kansas City in the AFC Championship game, and LA came back to down San Francisco in the NFC title contest.

Cincinnati, which won the opening game of Conference Championship Sunday, saw its Super Bowl odds shorten all the way from +800 to +140. They moved back to +145 after Los Angeles took down San Francisco in the late game. The Rams’ Super Bowl odds improved to -175.

The Rams vs Bengals stats show that LA opened as -190 moneyline favorites. That number has shortened a little as of Sunday morning.

The Bengals opened as +160 moneyline underdogs. By Feb 7, The Bengals were seeing average odds of +166, while LA had shortened to average odds of -199.

As of Sunday morning, the best Rams number you could get on the moneyline was at Caesars Sportsbook, where LA was at -185. At BetMGM, that figure is as short as -208. In terms of payout, a $100 bet on the Rams would net an extra $6 on the longer Caesars odds.

Betting on the Bengals to pull off an upset? You’ll want to nab them at BetMGM, where they’re at the longest odds at +175. Compare that to DraftKings, where they at +160. That’s a $15 difference in payout on a $100 bet should Cincinnati hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

Moneyline Bets Predict Bengals Upset

Looking at the Rams vs Bengals picks, the books opened with LA as the 3.5-point favorite. That’s been bumped up a half-point at most sportsbooks — and as high as Rams by 4.5 at BetMGM. Maybe it’s the better odds, or maybe bettors have tired betting against Joe Burrow unsuccessfully, but the NFL public money trends show 64% of the handle and 64% of the total bets on the Bengals as of Saturday night.

In tracking the biggest bets on Super Bowl 2022, the largest bets are on the moneyline, both on Cincinnati. Both were made at Caesars, catching odds of Bengals at +170. One wager went for a cool $5 million, which would net a profit of $8.5 million.

The second-highest bet was for $4,534 million, which would earn a payout of $7,707 million and change. A moneyline wager on the Rams is the fourth-highest. Listed at a non-US book, the $600,000 wager would bring the bettor back $306,000. In the United States, a Rams win at -200 at PointsBet for $240,000 would return a profit of $120,000.

The final Rams vs Bengals injury report doesn’t show much advantage either way, with Rams tight end Tyler Higbee the only significant listed as out on either side.

Should You Be Taking the Rams?

This Super Bowl is a neutral site game only by definition, as the Rams will be the second straight team to play a Super Bowl at their home stadium, following Tampa Bay last year. They’re also considered the visitors in this one, and will prepare in the visitor locker room. Other than that, this is their game at SoFi Stadium, along with a more star-studded lineup, there’s a reason LA’s line has continued to shorten as we get close to kickoff.

With their odds as low as -185 still at Caesars, if you like the Rams, that’s going to be the best number to get them at.

If you’re like the rest of the betting public, however, you’re leaning towards a Bengals upset, and their odds have only gotten longer. You may as well get the best odds, at Caesars (+175).

Me? I think it’s close, and has a Hollywood ending, with the Rams coming out on top. Even though the team that wins the Super Bowl almost always covers the spread, I don’t think it happens here.

For the San Francisco 49ers, the superbowl window is wide open. How can they jump through and get their sixth championship?

At the start of the off-season, the 49ers were at a crossroads. They had the fourth oldest squad in the NFL in 2020, and as they navigated through the free agency, the roster became the second oldest in the league. For many it seemed like the right step to keep their big names as free agents on the team.

But what if it doesn’t work? An aging squad that doesn’t win is almost impossible to fix without blowing the whole thing up and down. However, on March 26th, much like in the movie Dumb and Dumber, when Lloyd Christmas swapped the puppy mobile for a scooter that got 70 miles per gallon, the 49ers redeemed themselves completely! Some would argue that three first-round picks are too big for the third quarterback to be included in a draft. Fair point, but there are two things that make the deal absolutely worthwhile. First, you don’t pay a quarterback nearly as much on a rookie pay scale as a proven veteran. Second, skipping first-round picks means even more money savings for the next few years.

If a franchise has cash for the next several years, it doesn’t have to make difficult decisions. Decisions that rock a fan base to the core, one like eliminating a real leader and star in DeForest Buckner. In fact, it does the opposite, it means that not only can they keep talent in the house, but they can splurge on seasoned veterans as well. As it stands today, if the 49ers hand over the keys to Trey Lance as they move on from Jimmy Garoppolo, they can have the most space in the NFL.

Have you ever played poker and were the chip leaders at the table? It allows you to bully your opponents and force them to fold hands they would normally play even if you don’t have the best hand at the table. The good friends of the 49ers join the Miami Dolphins starting March 26th.

You currently have a strong hand with a great cornerback tandem, but the flop came and it doesn’t look good. Xavien Howard requested a trade, worse, he did so publicly, and he did it for the Dolphins at arguably the worst time of the year to get the maximum value for him. A little over a year ago, Darius Slay was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles for third and fifth round draft picks. Slay was 29 and had three consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl and was All Pro on the first team in 2017. Howard is 28 years old and came from his second Pro Bowl appearance and first all-pro selection on the first team. This tells me that Howard is available for second and fourth round draft picks.

As it stands now, the 49ers’ biggest concern is their cornerback depth. Your best corner, Jason Verrett, is 29 years old and has a long history of injuries. If he missed the time, it could affect the 49ers’ chances of a Lombardi trophy. It is clear that the 49ers will likely spend their second round selection in a corner in 2022 as they will have multiple free agents in the position who will be over thirty years old.

If Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch want this team to climb through the proverbial window, they must continue to take risks and be willing to spend big while they have the money. It’s time to end Garoppolo’s contract and bet on a player of Howard’s caliber.

The San Francisco 49ers were as big a disappointment as anyone in the league in 2020. Injuries devastated the team and caused the team to crash onto the floor of NFC West. The 49ers finished 6-10 after Nick Bosa tore his cruciate ligament, Jimmy Garoppolo was hampered by an ankle sprain, and an endless list of starters missed out on time.

The only positive thing about the lost season is that the 49ers were able to find an impact player in the draft. But instead of letting the draft come to them, GM John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan were aggressive and switched from number 12 to number 3. They then passed that pick on Trey Lance, the North Dakota State quarterback.

The team has pulled back a lot of their own talent, but advancing to Draft Lance is what will determine this off-season and the near future of the franchise.

San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl 56 odds: +1,400

Though the team rose to draft Lance, it’s entirely possible he’ll sit for a good portion of his rookie season. If Garoppolo can stay healthy, there’s a good chance he’ll keep his starting role. Lance has more advantages in the eyes of Lynch and Shanahan, but the 49ers have made it very clear that if they’re patient with him, they’re comfortable. He could end up starting if Garoppolo is injured, but if not he could follow Patrick Mahomes’ route – sitting for most of his rookie year and then switching to starting role in his sophomore year.

All of that means any evaluation of 49ers Super Bowl odds must take into account who is starting at QB. Lance has tremendous potential, but he’s a mystery both because he’s a rookie and because he only played one game during the pandemic last year. Garoppolo isn’t sure he can stay healthy, but if he does, he has proven that with this offensive he can do enough to get the 49ers into the Super Bowl.

The key across the board will be health. If Bosa gets back in shape and the team can avoid the number of injuries they had last year, they’ll be a Super Bowl contender with this lineup. If Garoppolo can avoid too many mistakes, he will have a solid offensive line and a ton of weapons in the passing game. If Bosa can come back and they find some talent in secondary school, the 49ers’ sixth-placed defense could become one of the top two or three defenses in the league last year.

There are many questions on both sides of the roster, but the 49ers are a Super Bowl team if they can stay healthy.

49ers ‘Superfan’ of 70 years stays with his team

With the 49ers heading to the Super Bowl, it’s not hard to find fans who jumped on the bandwagon. It’s a little harder to find someone who’s been on the team for 70 years. Martin Jacobs is that rare fan.

SAN FRANCISCO – – With the 49ers heading to the Super Bowl, it’s not hard to find fans who jumped on the bandwagon. It’s a little harder to find someone who’s been on the team for 70 years.

Since their first season in 1946, the team has called home three stadiums. It’s hard to find a fan who is equally passionate and knowledgeable about their years at Kezar Stadium, Candlestick Park, and Levi’s Stadium.

Martin Jacobs is that rare person. He is from San Francisco and was taken to his first game by his father when he was nine in 1952. One player caught Jacobs’ eye.

“I didn’t know a forward pass from one side. [My dad] gave me his binoculars. He says, “Marty, I want you to look at this replay. His name is Hugh McElhaney. “Well, from the moment I looked through the binoculars and saw McElhaney making a sweep – his first carry he ran 40 yards for a touchdown. His straight arm, his hip movement, his high kicking, his shifting. I said it was amazing. Tacklers missed him left and right. ”

From that day on, Jacobs was addicted. The 49ers became the motivation for the direction that Jacobs would immediately take with his life.

He said he got a job at Kezar Stadium, where he was a salesman for 15 years. He also had an uncle in Kezar who looked away when his nephew walked onto the field in the final minutes of the game.

“I need to talk to players. I took jerseys, bloody towels, water bottles, whiskey bottles, mouthpieces, and medical supplies that were left behind at half time. I started collecting. ”

Jacobs saw the final glory days in Kezar: the 49ers’ first NFC West championship and the first of their three losses to the Dallas Cowboys, which ended San Francisco’s Super Bowl hosts. He was even one of the ardent fans at Candlestick Park who had a lifetime of justification when Dwight Clark made ‘The Catch’.

“I rarely ask favors of God. I said, ‘God, I never ask favors, but could you just let us score this time and beat Dallas?’ And when he made the catch, God came through. We made it. We made it. ”

In the 80s, Jacobs continued to follow his 49er passion. He opened retail stores, sold and made 49er artifacts. He says he wrapped queues around the block in his Serramonte shop with people waiting to buy hats, jerseys and t-shirts. He was pretty busy printing them himself.

He eventually closed his stores, but has since written books on the 49s and is still in the buying and selling business.

His analysis of Super Bowl 54 is pretty straightforward: “I expect us to win and I expect it to be a close game.”

You guessed where he’ll be on Super Bowl Sunday, right on the sofa in front of the TV.

Jacobs has made it his business to turn your passion into your profession and never have the feeling that you are actually working. From the age of nine until today, his beloved 49ers have been part of his life. He’s hoping for a new chapter on Super Bowl Sunday.

Increasing HVAC efficiency at home would have the added benefit of making Tesla’s other household energy products more appealing to consumers, as it would likely help achieve true off-grid (or almost off-grid) self-sufficiency.

As for the company’s HEPA filtering, Tesla takes bioweapons defense mode very seriously, despite the funny name. A 2016 blog post detailed what went into the system design and tested data to support claims of a HEPA filter that is “ten times more efficient than standard automotive filters.” While Tesla doesn’t cite wildfires in this post, it lists “California highways during rush hour, smelly swamps, cow pastures in the Central Valley of California, and big cities in China” in terms of the challenges it wanted to handle.

Many experts predict that the wildfires that are currently devastating large swaths of the US west coast will only get worse if environmental conditions continue to suffer from the effects of climate change. Given this, and given Tesla’s larger business goals of offering a range of products that neutralize or reduce the environmental impact of its customers, more efficient and effective household HVAC products don’t seem that far outside of their operational expertise.
