$1,500 reward supplied after HVAC methods stolen from exterior Orange County constructing

CEDAR GROVE, NC (WNCN) – The Orange County Sheriff’s Office offered a cash award of $ 1,500 for information leading to the arrest of the person who stole two HVAC units outside a building in Cedar Grove on Monday.

On Monday morning, a pickup truck pulled up to the Cedar Grove Ruritan Club at 6116 Efland Cedar Grove Rd. And stole two HVAC units waiting outside the building to be installed, according to a press release on Thursday.

Surveillance photos and videos showed an angular pickup truck, possibly an older Ford model. The low beam on the passenger side did not work. At least two people were in the truck with tinted windows, the message said.

Sheriff Charles Blackwood offered a $ 1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Investigator Jason Nazworth at 919-245-2960 or jnazworth@orangecountync.gov.

“In many ways, the historic Ruritan building has served as the lifeline of the Cedar Grove community for many years. Not only is this a crime that harms the Ruritans, it is also a slap in the face of the people who value this facility and what it means to this community, ”Blackwood said.
