49ers’ Deommodore Lenoir Lets Residence Smoke Alarm Beep Since 2023 for ‘Good Luck’

Some people rely on traditional items for good luck like a horseshoe, a four-leaf clover or a rabbit’s foot, but San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir has resorted to an unconventional method.
During an appearance on Up & Adams, Lenoir was questioned by Kay Adams about the faulty battery in his smoke detector, and he revealed he hasn’t changed it in over a year because he believes it’s been his lucky charm.
“This has been going on since last season. It’s been good luck, so I just let it go,” Lenoir said. “I’ve been playing good so far, the whole season. I’m kind of superstitious.”
While the frequent beeping from the smoke detector would annoy anyone, Lenoir said he doesn’t even hear it anymore and he has no trouble sleeping through it.
Lenoir started all 13 of his appearances last season and recorded 67 total tackles of career highs of seven pass deflections and two interceptions. He notched 18 tackles and a forced fumble in the postseason as San Francisco made a run to the Super Bowl.
The 24-year-old is certainly hoping that his lucky smoke detector will help propel the 49ers to another trip to the Super Bowl this season.
