ALBERT DIMMINGER Obituary – So. San Francisco, CA

Albert John Dimminger, resident of So. San Francisco Passed away on January 7, 2010 at the age of 89. Born in Koblentz, Germany and long-time resident of South San Francisco. Beloved husband of the late Lena Dimminger for 53 years. Loving father of Laurel (Brian Connor) Trask and grandfather of Sarah Trask. Brother of Leonard Dimminger of Russian River. World War II and Korean War veteran in the U.S. Navy. Retired sanitation manager for the City of San Francisco Port Authority. Al was very creative and skilled with wooden furniture, duck decoys, small wooden furniture for dollhouses and even a skilled painter. He was involved in the art exhibitions in So.SF for some time; shows his pictures. Founding member of YMI #32, member of Plumbers Local #37, former member of the Parks and Recreation Commission, former member of the Arts Commission, member of the So. SF Historical Society and the Plymere House. Friends may visit the Garden Chapel, 885 El Camino Real, So.SF on Saturday, January 9, from 3 to 6 p.m., where a vigil service will be offered at 5 p.m. Commitment private.
