The new Audium Sound Hour provides San Francisco with a curated, immersive sound environment to promote calm and wellbeing as the city recovers from the pandemic. The historic sound theater protects everyone with an updated HVAC system, only for bookings in small groups and a complete redevelopment of the venue between groups.
The pitch black room with 176 speakers from Audium has been improved and allows for clearer and more haunted sound movement than ever before. The listeners are immersed in sound scenes jumping off the walls. Jump from the loud clatter of the fillet to a secluded Baker Beach cave. An intimate afternoon in the Sunset District gives way to an ecstatic celebration at Mission.
Sound Hour Composer Dave Shaff explains, “The silver lining of the pandemic has been able to immerse itself in Audium’s technology and reinterpret its experience. Sound Hour was developed along with system upgrades. Audiences will hear birds fluttering overhead while Children laugh and play downstairs. Electronic melodies collide and burst. “
