Banking software program firm shifting headquarters to Jacksonville

The banking software company Nymbus and VyStar employees move into the VyStar Credit Union building.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – A new financial technology company announced Tuesday that it would be moving its headquarters to Jacksonville and expanding.

The banking software company Nymbus is moving into the VyStar Credit Union building to work with VyStar employees. Nymbus will rebuild VyStar’s online banking platform, which is expected to be launched early next year.

VyStar’s Chief Member Experience Officer Joel Swanson, who serves on Nymbus’ board of directors, said at a press conference that VyStar has made a $ 20 million investment in Nymbus. It’s part of their plans to invest in more financial technology companies.

“You’re starting to create this ecosystem where people want to go,” Swanson said. “We want to be like a San Francisco or a Boston or other places that really started building this. It has to start somewhere and I think it starts here. “

Nymbus CEO says they will hire 600 people and expand to 600 people.
