Oakland Athletics continues the San Francisco Giants with an old-fashioned tradition known as the Bay Bridge Series. Apart from that, it looks a little different. The stadium has lifted all capacity limits, social distancing requirements and does not require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test.

The Giants also withdrew the mandatory face mask requirement earlier this month. Currently it is “very recommendable” for unvaccinated fans.

After the Bay Bridge Series is over, Oakland A will have its first full-capacity home stand against the Texas Rangers. With more than 46,000 fans at the Oakland Coliseum, the game has the potential to win the Bay Area’s largest public event title since the pandemic.

Transit and ferry services have also returned to Oracle Park for tonight’s game. BART, Caltrain, San Francisco Bay Ferry and Golden Gate Ferry will all resume service to and from the stadium.
