Boy Kidnapped in Sacramento Discovered Protected in Hayward; Kidnapper Arrested – CBS San Francisco

SACRAMENTO (CBS SF / CBS Sacramento) – A young boy who was abducted Friday night in Sacramento – and set off an amber alarm in the East Bay – was found safe early Saturday morning in Hayward with the alleged perpetrator who abducted him.
A yellow alarm was raised on Friday evening in Alameda and Contra Costa counties for the child, three-year-old Leo Norvell, after being abducted from Sacramento just before 5 p.m. on Friday.
The suspect is 30-year-old Joshua Yago, who, according to the CHP, should be considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities posted on Twitter that the child was found safe shortly before 3 a.m.

Authorities did not initially say whether Yago had also been found, but Sacramento police confirmed shortly after 8 a.m. that he and the boy had been found and taken into custody in Hayward. Police said they are working to reunite the boy with his family.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, Yago is the suspect in a double shootout that injured a man and a woman on Friday at Block 3900 on 63rd Street.
Norvell is the child of the female victim. According to police, Yago and Norvell know each other.
The victims of the shooting did not receive life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Police said Yago will be charged with the kidnapping and previous shooting. The investigation into the crimes remains active.
