Companies in Heaton Constructing re-open after plumbing repairs
Minor leak required serious plumbing
– After a week of civil engineering work on sewer pipes, the Heaton Building on 13th Street and Park Street has reopened. Amstrdm Coffee House, Ambiance, Cendre Wine Tasting and two apartments on the upper floor had no water during the work in the alley west of the building.
A small leak left about an inch of water in the basement that required serious plumbing from Coast Construction. Amstrdm Coffee House closed for one week. Plumbers were still working in the wine tasting room on Friday.
With large bay windows stretching across the sidewalk, the 1910 Heaton Building looks more like San Francisco Architecture but creates interesting space for three small businesses. The owner realized that the plumbing would take more than a “patch” to solve the problem. It took a week but the problem that can be a hundred years old is finally resolved. All three stores and the two upstairs apartments are expected to be back to normal this weekend on 13th Street in downtown Paso Robles.
