Detroit Lions 2024 schedule launch: Residence and highway opponents and extra on season forward

The NFL will release the 2024 schedules for all 32 teams at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Here is what we know about the Detroit Lions’ schedule so far.
The Lions will play each team from the NFC West and AFC South, as well as the 2023 first-place teams from the NFC East, NFC South and AFC East. Detroit will also see its NFC North division rivals twice, once on the road and once at Ford Field, as part of its 17-game schedule.

The Lions went 12-5 in the 2023 regular season, winning their division for the first time since 1993 and advancing to the NFC Championship Game. That 34-31 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, whom the Lions led 24-7 at halftime, has Detroit dreaming of taking the next step and advancing to its first Super Bowl next season.
