LOS ANGELES – Dick Van Dyke will appear in Disney’s upcoming “Mary Poppins” sequel.

Van Dyke played in 1964 in the original chimney sweep Bert and the older banker Mr. Dawes. He tells Entertainment Tonight that he will play Mr. Dawes’ son on Mary Poppins Returns.

The 91-year-old comedy legend says he will be heading to London in the spring to film what he calls “a little song-and-dance number”.

He tells The Hollywood Reporter that the film will be set 20 years after the original.

Emily Blunt will play Mary Poppins. Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Angela Lansbury and “Hamiltons” Lin-Manuel Miranda will also star.
