Girl Hauls Sofa On Convertible MINI Cooper, Holds It Up With Hand! – CBS San Francisco

ABROAD, Florida (CBSMiami) – Some Florida drivers were quite surprised to see a woman moving a large couch in a convertible MINI Cooper. Most people would probably use a U-Haul or a pickup truck to move furniture, but not this girl.

This woman was caught on camera dragging the huge couch in her tiny car in Estero, near Fort Myers. “It’s a terrible idea,” said Lt. Greg Bueno of the Florida Highway Patrol. “The couch itself is bigger than the MINI Cooper.”

It becomes even more dangerous because the woman also held the couch with one hand while driving.

“It’s not strapped in properly,” said Lt. Bueno. “She is holding it with her right arm. It is a visual obstruction. “

The video was captured on Monday on the Estero Community Bridge, which crosses busy I-75. If for some reason the couch had come loose, drivers would have been in danger on the road near them and below the bridge.

“That’s how tragedies happen, and we’ve had way too many in our community lately,” said Lt. Bueno.

Not only is this crazy maneuver extremely dangerous, police say, it’s also illegal. Anyone caught doing this could expect a subpoena.
