Phillies opening day first pitch
Zeke Clark, a Lewes 4 year old who lost his lower leg in a lawnmower accident last year, will throw the first pitch at the season opener. He will be joined on the mound by his surgeon, Nemours’ Dr. Jeanne Franzone.
Due to the delay, a surgery scheduled Friday for Zeke has been postponed so he can still throw the first pitch.
Along with Zeke, Phillies legend Charlie Manuel threw out the ceremony first pitch to former Phillies shortstop Larry Bowa six months after the former manager suffered a stroke.
