Los Gatos Icing on the Cake Bakery Completes Growth

Icing on the Cake, 50 W. Main St., has completed its expansion to the next-door location formerly occupied by The Indian Store, which closed in April after being in operation for four decades.
Owner Lynn Magnoli officially re-opened on Oct. 17 after closing down the bakery Oct. 7-16.
She’s posted this announcement on the business’ website: “We’re open! The wait is over and our ovens are on, so come see the newly expanded Icing on the Cake. Thank you for your patience during our transition into the new space. We’re happy to be baking again!”
Magnoli opened the business in Los Gatos in September of 1985 and expanded from wholesale into a commercial kitchen. She moved into the West Main Street building in February of 2001.
Icing on the cake sells cakes, cupcakes, all-butter pound cakes, loaf cakes, cheesecakes, handmade pies, classic and specialty cookies, brownies and bars, breakfast treats and even wheat-free, flourless and vegan desserts.
The business is also advertising on its site that it’s looking for experienced scratch bakers, cake decorators and customer service staff.
