Man killed in San Francisco freeway taking pictures – The Mercury Information

SAN FRANCISCO – A man who drove a car was killed in a shooting on Highway 101 Monday night and his passenger injured, authorities said.
The name of the man killed, who presumably lives in San Francisco, is not yet known.
The gender and age of the passenger were not disclosed.
The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. Monday in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 near the Cesar Chavez Street exit, the California Highway Patrol said. The car crashed into several impact barrels before stopping.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Whether the shooting was the result of a traffic incident or something else is not yet known, nor is a description of the shooter or the vehicle he was in.
The traffic on the autobahn was impaired for hours by the CHP unit during the investigation.
