Another elite, private club will put down roots in San Francisco in 2023, this time in one of the city’s most recognizable buildings.

Core, a members-only club with locations in New York City and Milan, will occupy three floors of the Transamerica Pyramid, as first reported by the San Francisco Business Times.

Sources told the Business Times that the 45,000-square-foot space will include “work suites, a restaurant, a gym, outdoor space and feature a personalized skin care program called the Dangene Institute.”

But access won’t come cheap. The initial membership fee was reported to be $50,000 in 2016, with annual dues of $17,000, according to entrepreneur.com at the time.

Membership is limited to “an international community of minds, mavericks, and leaders,” according to the club’s website.

The organization declined SFGATE’s request for comment.

Another exclusive San Francisco club, The Battery, announced it was expanding to Oakland earlier this year, paying between $10 million and $12 million for the historic former Bellevue Club on Lake Merritt. The San Francisco location at 717 Battery St. operates as both a club and a hotel, and dues are $2,700 per year.

The Bohemian Club, an exclusive men’s club located at 624 Taylor St., reportedly cost $30,000 to join and $600 per month in 2016. When another San Francisco private club, Wingtip, opened in 2012, it reportedly cost $2,500 to join and $200 per month .
