Police Make Arrests in Excessive Faculty, Enterprise Burglaries

A man and a woman arrested on suspicion of burglarizing Los Gatos High School early Sunday morning are connected with other weekend thefts in the area, police said.
Officers responded to a report of an alarm activated at the campus at 20 High School Court around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, police said. Arriving officers found a suspect hiding in a building on campus and took him into custody, according to police.
He was identified as 32-year-old Pacific Grove resident Brian Knab, who was allegedly found in possession of burglary tools, police said. Knab was booked into county jail on suspicion of conspiracy, burglary and possession of burglary tools, police said.
While searching the high school, officers found a woman inside a car at the parking lot and determined she was allegedly involved in the burglary, police said. She was identified as 26-year-old Salinas resident Sabrina Fernandez, who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and burglary and booked into county jail, according to police.
Investigators later determined Knab was the registered owner of the vehicle, where they found stolen property from multiple Los Gatos area businesses, burglary tools, police scanners and illegal narcotics, according to police.
The evidence found in the car has lead detectives to believe Knab and Fernandez were allegedly involved in at least four commercial burglaries on Saturday and Sunday, police said.
Investigators are looking for additional evidence and trying to determine whether the suspects are connected to other Santa Clara County burglaries.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police at (408) 354-8600.
