Room with a ghost for $3,700 a month in these San Francisco residences

These $ 3,730 a month apartments in a former San Francisco hospital are certainly for rent, even though they may already be inhabited by ghosts.

SFGate.com reports that three one-bedroom apartments on the fifth floor of the former Presidio Public Health Hospital could very well be haunted, or at least have upstairs neighbors who could rumble at night.

That’s because the building has a curious – and creepy – history. The listed hospital, built in 1932, served patients until 1981, and for some time staff there conducted medical research and animal experiments on the sixth floor – and paranormal experts claim it is haunted in the area.

According to SFGhosts.com, many residents who have moved into apartments since the building was converted in 2010 have complained of being visited by otherworldly beings. One said she would return home to find things all over the floor, and when she slept she sometimes saw the indentation of someone sitting at the foot of her bed.

Other local residents have claimed to have seen men in army uniforms knock on their doors and then (of course) vanish into thin air.

But that shouldn’t stop anyone from moving there, should it? A couple of ghouls should certainly not put anyone off the opportunity to live in the Presidio, with its breathtaking views of Golden Gate Park and Sutro Tower and easy access to hiking, running and biking trails.

Each one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment listed on Craigslist also has 700 square feet, a Bosch washer and dryer, floor-to-ceiling windows, and full-length vinyl plank floors. Together with the (alleged) ghosts, the building has an inner courtyard opposite the apartments.

Still, the monthly rent can be a little daunting. According to SFGate, the average rent for other one-bedroom apartments in the neighborhood is under $ 3,000 a month.
