San Francisco house once more breaks document for most costly ever bought within the metropolis

A palatial, seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion in Pacific Heights just broke a major record in San Francisco.
2920 Broadway is officially the most expensive home ever sold in the city, costing $ 43.5 million.
The 11,000-plus square feet offer breathtaking views of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge and include a 5,000-bottle wine cellar.
The buyer is the mysterious NARF NAS LLC, a company newly registered in February 2021, a common practice when buying homes in this price range.
Built in 1931, 2920 Broadway sold over the counter for $ 39 million in 2018 – the first time it broke a record for the most expensive home sold in San Francisco.
The historic home was once owned by Reuben and Ingrid Hills, heirs to the Hills Bros. Coffee fortune. The couple attempted to sell the home for $ 45 million in 2003 before dropping the price to $ 35 million. When it finally went on sale in 2005, it was available at a huge $ 29.9 million discount.
Despite the pandemic, the luxury real estate market in San Francisco hasn’t hurt. According to a recent report by Compass, sales of luxury homes – those listed for $ 3 million and above – reached their highest sales volume ever in the spring of 2021, up 70% from their previous high in 2019.
