Pro clinic
Logan Schafer of the Milwaukee Brewers tops a list of professional baseball players who will serve as instructors at a baseball skills clinic for players ages 8-12 on Jan. 14 at the Los Gatos Little League field.
Schafer, an outfielder for the Brewers, will be joined by his brother, Justin, a shortstop in the New York Mets organization; Tyler La Torre, a catcher in the San Francisco Giants organization; and Ryan Kiel, a pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization.
The cost is $80 per player, plus two canned food items for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Visit www.lgll.org.
Girls softball
The Los Gatos-Saratoga Girls Softball Association is holding registration for the 2012 season through Jan. 14. The $220 registration fee includes a full uniform, skill clinics, individual and team photo packages and more. Games are played at Foothill School in Saratoga and Blossom Hill School in Los Gatos. Tennis camp
The Los Gatos Tennis Academy is holding a winter tennis camp for players ages 7-14 of all levels on Jan. 4-6, 9 a.m.-noon, at Los Gatos High School. The cost is $129 per player. Call LGS Recreation at 408.354.8700 or visit www.lgsrecreation.org.
