The Bay Space’s costliest dwelling market is not San Francisco

This peninsula locale is even more expensive than Pacific Heights

According to Compass, Atherton even surpassed Tony Pacific Heights to be crowned the Bay Area’s most expensive market. The average home price in the incredibly expensive Peninsula locale was $ 6,350,000 in 2020, compared to just $ 5,625,000 for Pac Heights in second place.

Interestingly, the average area in Pacific Heights was also larger, with a median home size of 4,080 square feet. Atherton’s median residential size was 3,740 square feet, meaning the small town of about 7,000 residents north of Menlo Park also had the highest price per square foot at over $ 1,600 per square foot.
