Theodore M. Perez

The salt of the earth

Dedicated, loyal, serious and honest

Ted passed away on December 25, 2013, surrounded by his beloved wife, Sherry, who preceded him to heaven last June.

He was born on June 11, 1944 in San Francisco's North Beach to William and Emma Perez.

Ted attended Saints Peter's and Paul's and then Sacred Heart High School, graduating in 1962. After high school, he worked as an apprentice for his uncle at A. Selli Plumbing and became a journeyman in 1973. After mastering his craft, he started his own business, Ted Perez Plumbing, in 1984. While he worked tirelessly to complete his education, Ted served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves beginning in 1965 and received his honorable discharge in 1971.

Although Ted and Sherry had no children of their own, they devoted their lives, love and attention to their family and friends, never forgetting a birthday, providing a warm home for everyone and giving sound advice and a helping hand when needed.

In addition to Sherry, Ted was preceded in death by his father, William, and his nephew, Jeffery Erichson. He is survived by his mother Emma and brother William (Carol) Perez, his brothers and sisters-in-law Scott (Susanne) Peoples, Debbie (Frank) Erichson and Susan Peoples, nieces and nephews Lisa (Scott) Peterson, Laura Perez, Joaquin (Kristin) Perez , Natalie and Christian Erichson, Nicole and Theresa Peoples, great-nieces and nephews, Nicholas and Angelique Korobi, Henry Perez, Sabrina and Sophia Muhleis-Perez.
