Thomas Dunn Obituary –
Thomas (Tom) Lee Dunn June 26, 1981 – Aug. 28, 2008 Thomas (Tom) Lee Dunn, cherished son, brother, and uncle passed away in a tragic hiking accident on August 28. Tom and his best friend, Jason, went hiking on Mt. Si, WA. They climbed to an area called Haystack and had a great time. On their descent, the hike had a tragic turn of events. Tom slipped and fell 200 feet. Jason gave him CPR for 2.5 hours until rescuers could get to them. Tom grew up in San Jose, He attended Gunderson High School and graduated from Leland High School in 1999 with Honors. In December of 2003, he graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing. He worked as a project manager at KDS Plumbing. Tom just bought his first home in May of this year. He was a strong Christian and leader in his church. He lived his life as an ambassador for the Lord. Tom and his sense of honor and humor will be missed greatly. Tom is survived by his parents, Ron and Barbara Dunn, sister, Lisa Quam, and brother-in-law Eric and niece, Taryn. In addition grandparents Margaret Urbani, Bob and June Dunn, aunts and uncle Debbie Bard, Beverly Vasche, Chuck Urbani, cousins Tammie Bard, Greg Vasche, and Jaime Vasche. Viewing at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel on Thursday, Sept. 4 from 4-7 p.m. 710 Willow St., SJ. Funeral service and celebration of Tom’s life on Friday, Sept. 5 at 11:00 a.m. Victory Outreach-Venture Christian Church, 590 Shawnee Ln., SJ. Graveside service to follow, Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Rd., Los Gatos. Reception to follow, Venture Christian Church, 16845 Hicks Rd., Los Gatos.
