Thomas Ledda Obituary (2012) – San Francisco, CA

Thomas C. Ledda died on January 2, 2012 at the age of 77. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathleen McCasey Ledda. Loving father of Thomas, David and Annette. Father-in-law of Julie Ledda, Carolyn Ledda and David Puchta. Nonno to Thomas, Kimberly, Dominic and Anthony Ledda and Brianna Puchta. Dear brother of Sandra Whatmore. Survived by Kathleen's children Casey, Max and Jack Rhodes and their families. His first wife, Shirley Ledda, also survived. Born August 18, 1934, Tom was a native of San Francisco and had lived in Contra Costa County for the past ten years. Attended Poly Technical High School, class of 1953, where he played baseball. He was a member of the Poly Athletic Association, a long-time member of UA Local 38, Plumbers & Steamfitters and a founder of Ledda Plumbing, Inc. in 1976. A member of the SF Old Timers Baseball Association, a member of Godfathers Life and Shriners Speranza Hut. Past President of the Masters Plumbers Association of San Francisco. Friends may visit on Thursdays from 3 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend the vigil service at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Avenue Daly City, at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, also at Duggan's Serra Mortuary. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Colma. Donations can be made to Shriner Children's Hospital.
