A trade association representing chimney sweeps has reached a settlement with OSHA over industry-specific fall protection requirements, putting an end to a six-year legal tussle over a broader agency rule.
The National Chimney Sweep Guild and the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration filed the settlement with the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit Tuesday, asking the court to formally end the case. The court granted the dismissal the same day.
