Eateries fill in retail gaps in downtown Los Gatos – The Mercury Information

ShareTea, a boba tea franchise founded in 1992 in Taiwan, is setting up shop in Los Gatos. ShareTea is one of a handful of eateries recently opened or opening soon downtown.

Empty retail spaces in Los Gatos are taking tangible shape and new owners are forging ahead as in-person shopping patterns gradually return. A handful of eateries have recently opened their doors downtown or are just about to do so.

Perhaps the biggest game-changer for Los Gatos as a wining, dining and shopping destination will be the opening of Tasting House at 368 Village Lane. This is a multifaceted endeavor based on a total remodel of the former Cin-Cin space, the end result of which will be an upscale tasting bar and bistro with a decidedly French accent, featuring a variety of fine domestic and imported wines, caviar, cheese and chocolate.

A well-stocked retail shop will make holiday shopping an artisan affair, with hundreds of cheeses and single-origin chocolates, gourmet crackers, jams, condiments, books, cheese utensils and even custom-made accessories and gifts like Los Gatos-themed tea towels.

Customized cheese and charcuterie boxes are available to order, with food and beverage service to follow in December. To order custom tasting boxes, email Katrina@tastinghouselosgatos.com.

Other new businesses in town include Easy Breezy Frozen Yogurt, opening in the former home of Razberry Lips at 307 N. Santa Cruz Ave, right next to Oak and Rye.
