The Los Gatos Brewing Company has been sold and will close sometime in March.

It’s expected to re-open this summer as the Foglight Alehouse.

The Brewing Company was sold to former professional baseball player Kevin Youkilis, who lives in Monte Sereno, and his brother Scott, a San Francisco restaurateur who owns the Hog & Rocks ham and oyster bar.

The brothers have big plans for the brew pub’s re-opening and are now interviewing brewmasters.

“We have new brew equipment coming in,” Scott Youkilis said. “It will take six to eight weeks to get fresh beer pouring out of our taps. We’re focusing mostly on ales that will pair well with our food.”

Youkilis described the dishes he plans to serve as “simple California comfort food with a twist” that will use fresh, seasonal ingredients.
