Dr. Cloyd Royal Chamberlain – Deseret Information


Dr. Cloyd Royal Chamberlain 1926 ~ 2006 Dr. Cloyd Royal Chamberlain was born in Cedar City, Utah on March 11th, 1926. He passed away on February 3rd, 2006 in Santa Clara County, CA. He was survived by his wife, Alice M. Horne, his children Robin, Merilee, Royal, Linda, Thomas, Rebecca, Daniel, Diana; his brothers and sisters, Douglas, Wayne, Bryce, Marietta, and Renee. He has 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Cloyd serviced his country as a Pharmacist Mate in the Navy during World War II, where he became a hygienist and made his decision to go into dentistry. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Argentina. At the College of Physicians and Surgeons in San Francisco he earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgeon. He started his practice in Oakland, CA. For the past 48 years he has practiced in Los Gatos, CA. For 10 years he was a clinical teacher at the University of Pacific in San Francisco. He achieved the Silver Beaver in Boy Scout Leadership and served as a commissioner in many other areas of Scouting. He had a great passion for tennis, traveling, church, hunting and the arts. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his strength, bright humor, quick grin, and his undying devotion to friends and family. We will miss you. Friends are invited to attend a viewing at Chapel of the Hills, 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave., Los Gatos on Friday, Feb. 10th between 6 – 9 p.m. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, Kirk & Noreen Chapel, 1655 Noreen Ave., San Jose.
